Frozen Lake

There are not many first time nature experiences Joe can expect around here anymore. He has been around for a long time... So we had to check out the  frozen Lower Harbor as this has never happened in his lifetime, though not the first time in history.
The condition had to be just right. Sub zero temperatures, calm enough water, and not much snow. A week ago the ice was clear without the blanket of snow.
The experience gave us a unique perspective on the town's iconic ore docks. I couldn't believe how gigantic the structure was!
Then we celebrated the 30 degree weather at our favorite brewery. The outdoor tent was relatively comfortable... of course, I had my jacket, scarf, gloves, and long johns on.
