Happy Earth Day

Quite a switch from the winter storm last Sunday. Today's high temp reached close to 60 degrees inland, 50 by the lake. We checked out the ice-packed harbor where an ore boat was stuck and a Coast Guard boat trying to break the ice. We walked out on the break wall as far as we could go till it went under ice.  The below picture shows Joe wearing his aloha shirt, dreaming he were in Hawaii.
We even enjoyed a pasty picnic outdoors. There was no wind, and the lake was absolutely calm. Not so good news for the boats stuck in the ice.
After lunch we walked around the island....
Then we stopped for a few beers at Blackrocks to celebrate the Earth Day. We also bought our fishing licenses. 6 more days till trout season!
