I made lasagna for the first time in my life. Lasagna Bolognese, packed with meat sauce, not tomato sauce. The recipe came from Bourdain's cook book. I made sure the dish was cooked a couple of days prior, because it is Joe's firm belief that lasagna gets better with time. Today, Valentine's Day, it tasted better than the day it was cooked.
We just wanted to wish everyone a happy Valentine's Day!
Yesterday we drove up to MTU to check out their snow/ice sculptures. At least it wasn't freezing or snowing or blowing. Overcast and in the upper 20's. The theme was memories from different decades, from war planes to fast food treats.
You've got to love those crazy broom stick hockey players. Even more amusing and surprising was to see a group of fraternity guys in underwear running. That was our first time in all these years of Winter Carnival experience!
