Pizza & Mittens

For Valentine's Day we made pizza at home. Actually our lunch at a new German café held us over for the evening, so we decided to have the pizza next day. We don't do pizza that often, but when we do, it's always fun and tasty.
On another note, I just finished my first pair of mittens on my knitting loom. They are very warm and colorful!

Lunar New Year

Even though we didn't have a big party for Chinese New Year, I cooked a bunch of Chinese take-out style dishes for the weekend to eat off of. Egg rolls (not shown on this table), pot stickers (probably our best made from scratch: Joe rolled out the wrappers while I stuffed), sweet 'n sour pork, noodle with shrimp, fried rice. I think that was all. The leftovers were enjoyed on Super Bowl Sunday in the living room.
And today is Fat Tuesday-- I took the day off and Joe trying to get off work earlier, so we can celebrate properly at Lagniappe, New Orleans style.
Happy Lunar New Year and Happy Mardi Gras!

P.S. Snowman

Earlier this week we got some more fresh snow... and our snowman almost lost its bottom buried in snow.
