Screwed Up Weekend

One morning the lightly snow covered driveway reminded me of the cherry blossom season in Japan, of the white petal covered ground. Our nature has its set-backs, bringing us Spring. Well, we certainly had ours this weekend. We both caught a bad cold, our first one of the season, canceling our small travel plans.
But, strangely enough, Joe found himself a much needed 4x4. Saturday morning we figured we spend another day at home still sick, when Joe saw a Craig's List post of this 04 Chevy Colorado pickup truck. It's within his budget and what he was looking for, and only 2 hours away. Now, Joe had been hunting for a 4x4 since last fall to replace our Honda whose 4WD works only when it wants to and with other issues. Out of boredom being sick and not able to go on our trip this weekend, and like these winter months Joe's truck hunt was lasting way too long, I suggested we act on it.
Before we knew it, we were driving east, opposite of the direction we were supposed to initially, to take a look at the truck. Everything in a short time worked out with this unexpected small adventure. Here are pictures of Joe's new old truck, Rado (shortened from Colorado), to serve his fishing, hunting, and everyday needs.

  1. Wow, it’s a nice buy! Perfect for A belated birthday present for himself! I can’t wait for me to be in the back of the truck when I visit there next time ;) Happy belated birthday, Joe!
