Rhubarb Pies

Our rhubarb plants are doing very well this year. Rhubarb pie is my most favorite... though pumpkin pie, apple pie, or any honest real good pies are not far behind. Especially because rhubarb season is limited, I enjoy it that much more when it's finally in season.

I had to bake a pie or two.
Two of Joe's aunts visiting was a good reason for two pies. We got enough pies left for breakfast tomorrow!

Farmer Joe!

Now that the summer is here, mostly to our standards this up north, we DREAM and FANTASIZE a perfect garden with all those fresh veggies. It's like a disease caused by the long winter months. Some people suffer more severely than others....
In Joe's case the cure was a little rototiller... much cheaper than a sport car.

For the last one hour Joe's been tilling our garden space in the back yard, buzzing away that dark moist dirt. I think he likes his new toy.

The truth of matter is that I'm far worse about thinking what I can cook with the veggies that haven't even been put in the garden!!

After almost two whole years, my hair had gotten long enough again for me to donate to Locks for Love. Finally! It was getting too much, too long to live with.
Phew.... I can now breathe and feel light!  I'm also trying to grow out my bangs... I still need a bit more patience for that.
